Job Description

UDR is seeking qualified candidates for a Utility Worker opportunity for our customer in Aiken, South Carolina to support Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS)Utility WorkerClose Date: 05.25.2026Number of Positions: US Citizenship or Certification RequiredDUTIESLaborers must be qualified and hired from the local Union hall and hold qualifications from thelocal Union. Laborers are involved in a variety of activities during all phases of construction. Laborertasks include, but are not limited to, preparing and cleaning up construction sites, using tools such asshovels and brooms. Other laborers, such as those on road crews, may specialize and learn to controltraffic patterns or to operate pavement breakers, jackhammers, earth tampers, or surveying equipment,and assisting construction trades workers with a variety of tasks. Laborers may be required to carry toolsand materials or help set up equipment assist with tool maintenance, cleaning up sites, and disposing ofwaste, as well as providing other construction tasks as assigned.Experience:Minimum QualificationsLevel A – 0 to 6 months experience in craft
  • Follow all health, safety & environmental requirements
  • Perform clean up duties
  • Perform material handling & storage duties
  • Distribute potable drinking water as required
  • Knowledge of basic construction math
Journey Level – over 6 months experience in craft
  • Perform fire watch and/or confined space hole watch
  • Basic construction drawing and blueprint knowledge
  • Identify, use & care of common hand and power tools
  • Identify building materials, fasteners, and adhesives
Citizenship:
  1. Birth Certificate or certified copy of Birth Certificate issued by a U.S. State or by the U.S. Department of State (Form FS-240);
  2. U.S. Passport, issued by the U.S. Department of State;
  3. Certificate of U.S. Citizenship issued to a person born outside the United States who derived or acquired U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen parent (INS Form N-560 or N-561); or
  4. Certificate of Naturalization issued to a person who became a U.S. citizen after 18 years of age through the naturalization process (INS Form N-550 or N-570).
