UW MEDICINE ENTERPRISE WIDE REVENUE CYCLE OPERATIONS has an outstanding opportunity for a UW MEDICINE EPIC PATIENT ACCESS BUSINESS OPERATIONS/SYSTEM ANALYST
Work Schedule
100% FTE
Days- May also work off hours and weekends
Remote – but able to have quick access to multiple sites, including both medical centers and UW Medicine Services
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
The UW Medicine Patient Access Business Operations/System Analyst leads, plans, designs, coordinates, documents, tests all technical Epic system application enhancements, updates, Upgrades, and new system functionality implementation for Front-End Hospital Operations (Admitting and ED Registration). This requires a deep understanding of the Enterprise Wide Revenue Cycle with a technical focus on Patient Access operations (Admitting and ED Registration) and system tools, including cross-functional Epic systems knowledge and technical tool and system development, technical analysis and documentation, for all Epic system applications and workflow processes used in conjunction with cross functional UW Medicine customer groups. The incumbent coordinates the operational and technical planning, design, documentation, testing and implementation of Epic system implementations using information technology methodology with extensive knowledge of Epic (Grand Central, Prelude, Estimates, Reporting), HL7, and MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Enterprise Wide Revenue Cycle Operations supports all of UW Medicine Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Physician Billing, Finance, Hospital Operations and other related operations that use Epic system functionality
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Has a deep understanding of Enterprise-Wide Revenue Cycle Operations with a technical focus on Patient Access Operations (Admitting and ED Registration)
- For Front-End Hospital Operations (Admitting & ED Registration) - leads, plans, designs, coordinates, documents, test all technical Epic-system application enhancements, updates, upgrades and new system functionality implementation.
- Possesses cross-functional Epic systems knowledge and technical tool and system development, technical analysis and documentation, for Epic system (Grand Central, Prelude, Estimates, Reporting) modules and workflow processes used in conjunction with cross functional UW Medicine customer groups
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional Certification or License and/or Epic Certification required within 6 months of employment
- At least five (5) years in Patient Access positions as a lead or other similar position where analysis and problem solving skills have been demonstrated.
- Working knowledge of Grand Central, Prelude, Estimates, Reporting, Cadence/Scheduling, hospital billing systems, and other systems related to Patient Access
- Must be willing to travel to Madison, Wisconsin for EPIC training and be certified within 90 days of training completion.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
