Valve TechnicianPay:Starting at $18.00 per hour (DOE)Location:Broken Arrow, OK 74012Shift:6: 00 AM 6: 00 PM | 7 Days per WeekJob Type:Temp-to-HireJob Order #:125834Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Valve Technician to join a growing industrial team in Broken Arrow. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and calibration of a variety of industrial valve systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience working with industrial valve systems in fast-paced environments.Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or GED required (Associate degree or technical certification is a plus) Previous experience as a Valve Technician or in a similar industrial mechanical role Strong understanding of industrial valve systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques Familiarity with manual, automatic, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve applications Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Proficiency using mechanical tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamEssential Duties & Responsibilities Install, maintain, repair, and replace a variety of industrial valves, including ball, gate, globe, check, and pressure relief valves Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on valve systems Troubleshoot valve malfunctions and complete necessary repairs or replacements Test and calibrate valves to ensure proper performance and compliance with operational requirements Verify valve performance under pressure and flow conditions Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, calibration, and inspection records Follow all company safety procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations Perform risk assessments and safety inspections on valve systems and equipment Respond to emergency service calls involving valve failures or operational issues Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and maintenance personnel to resolve technical issues Provide professional customer service and technical support during field assignmentsPreferred Qualifications Technical certification or associate degree in a mechanical or industrial field Experience working in manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, or industrial processing facilities Strong knowledge of pressure testing and valve calibration procedures Experience working with industrial maintenance documentation and quality systemsPhysical Requirements Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials throughout the workday Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding conditions Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights when required Ability to work safely in industrial environments and varying weather conditions while wearing required PPEWork Environment Industrial manufacturing and mechanical service environment Fast-paced setting requiring precision, safety, and attention to detail Exposure to industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and outdoor conditions as needed Collaborative team environment supporting maintenance and production operationsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive pay based on experience Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to develop specialized industrial valve maintenance skills Diverse work involving installation, troubleshooting, testing, and customer support Stable company with opportunities for professional growth and advancementReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
