Part-Time Van Builder (Camper Vans / Overland Builds) Electrical, mechanical, carpentry

- $30-$80/hr (based on experience)

About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled, hands-on Van Builder / or RV builder to help design and build custom camper vans and overland-style rigs. This is a part-time role ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and has experience across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
You’ll be building out functional, high-quality interiors — everything from cabinetry and electrical systems to water systems and HVAC components.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and install custom cabinetry, storage, and furniture
- Perform 12V / 120V electrical work (lighting, batteries, inverters, solar preferred)
- Install plumbing systems (water tanks, pumps, sinks, drains)
- HVAC setup or repair (fans, heaters, ventilation systems)
- Perform light mechanical work related to van builds and modifications mainly with HVAC or plumbing
- Read and interpret build layouts, sketches, or plans
- Ensure builds are clean, functional, and durable
- Troubleshoot and fix issues during or after installs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in van builds, RVs, campers, or similar custom fabrication (preferred but not required)
- Strong background in at least 2–3 of the following:
- Carpentry / woodworking
- Electrical (12V/solar strongly preferred)
- Plumbing systems
- Mechanical / automotive work
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve on the fly
- Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Must have owne tools
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Previous Sprinter
- Solar system installs (Renogy, Victron, etc.)
- Welding or metal fabrication
- Experience with off-grid or overland setups
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: Up to $80/hr for the right person
- Flexible, part-time schedule
