Hays Electrical Services approaches each project with a cooperative mindset, working with business owners, contractors, and subcontractors towards the common goal – successful project delivery.Job Overview:We are seeking a VDC Project Manager to oversee Virtual Design & Construction workflows and ensure that deliverables for assigned projects are completed accurately and on time. This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to manage schedules, maintain compliance with BIM standards, and ensure quality assurance of drawingsKey Responsibilities:
- Manage VDC schedule and deliverables for assigned projects.
- Coordinate between design team, GC team, and Hays team (office and field).
- Ensure compliance with BIM standards and perform QA/QC on drawings.
- Monitor project progress and resolve issues related to VDC execution.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to maintain alignment on project goals.
- Advanced understanding of Electrical NEC rules and requirements.
- Education: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture. Acceptable Industry knowledge and Field knowledge in Electrical related aspect.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of BIM/VDC workflows, Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam; ability to manage schedules and deliverables.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with QA/QC processes and BIM standards.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience: 5+ years in VDC/BIM roles with at least 2 years in a leadership or project management capacity, or a field foreman/supervisor who is ready to transition to office.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, familiarity of Revit, Autocad, Navisworks.
- Excellent understanding of electrical engineering principles, systems, and standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve design issues quickly.
