As a Vehicle Safety Test Engineer based in Newark, CA, you will undertake critical responsibilities in setting up and conducting safety tests for vehicles. This role involves hands-on work with high voltage systems, crash testing, and vehicle rebuilding, embodying a unique opportunity to contribute cross-functionally and own the processes you manage. This position is mainly onsite, offers competitive compensation, and requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and manage test equipment for vehicle safety assessments.
Setup extensive safety tests for vehicles ensuring compliance with standards.
Support test engineers in various safety testing operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance test procedures and outcomes.
Manage documentation and reporting of test processes and results.

Must-Have Skills:

Deep expertise in high voltage systems.
Profound knowledge and experience with vehicle crash testing and safety.
Skilled in vehicle rebuilding and modifications.

Industry Experience Required: Experience in Automotive Engineering or Vehicle Safety Testing

Additional Details:

This role demands being primarily onsite in Newark, CA.
Potential for travel to various testing sites nationwide.
At least a 12-month contract with potential for extension and possible overtime.
