Value Added Distributors is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Vendor Inventory Driver to join our driving team in Rockford, IL. This full-time, day-shift position offers a starting wage of $18 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Health insurance
DentalVisionPaid vacation and holidays401(k) with employer matchTHE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A VENDOR INVENTORY DRIVERThe standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Overtime may be required as business needs arise. This position includes daily travel to customer locations, with trips of up to two hours one way.In this Vendor Inventory Driver role, you will collaborate with internal teams and sales staff to ensure that customer expectations for service, product quality, delivery, and fulfillment are consistently met. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and managing inventory at customer sites, maintaining accurate records, and generating replenishment orders as needed. Each day will involve reviewing inventory levels, planning and executing delivery routes, and visiting customer locations to restock inventory and support key contacts. You will foster customer relationships through on-site support and the review of VMI reports, while also keeping thorough documentation. As challenges arise, you will coordinate with branch management to address inventory discrepancies and optimize supply chain operations. Additionally, you will assist with warehouse activities and participate in ongoing training and cross-training as required, consistently demonstrating the company's core values.OUR IDEAL VENDOR INVENTORY DRIVERHigh school diploma or equivalent
At least 21 years old2+ years of driving experience in all weather conditions
Valid Class C driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (company reimburses)Ability to type 25+ words per minute
Familiarity with supply chain or logistics is ideal
Solid judgment and decision-making ability, staying objective and calm under pressure
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and maintain urgency in a fast-paced environment
Strong data analysis and inventory forecasting skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, and a respectful, team-oriented attitude
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Ability to safely lift up to 65 pounds using proper techniques
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
