Job Title: Logistics - Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator ILocation: Mount Airy, NCDuration: 1 Month (Temporary Assignment)Pay Rate: $19/hr (W2) + OT EligibleShift Timings: Flexible (7: 00 AM –4: 00 PM or 8: 00 AM –5: 00 PM, consistent schedule required)Job Description: We are seeking a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I to support a short-term assignment covering for an associate on medical leave. This role involves inventory handling, stocking, and delivery of materials to designated customer locations.Key Responsibilities:
- Refill vending machines and deliver VMI items to point-of-use (POU) areas
- Scan inventory and manage stock levels using barcode systems
- Transport materials (within ~6 miles radius) from warehouse to customer site
- Ensure accurate shipment delivery and inventory placement
- Maintain barcode labels and report discrepancies
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment
- Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas (5S standards)
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse, inventory, or delivery roles
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 75 lbs occasionally)
- Basic understanding of inventory systems and barcode scanning
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma preferred (not mandatory)
- May involve walking, lifting, bending, and standing throughout the shift
- Work in warehouse and customer site environments (may include hot/cold conditions)
- Use of safety equipment such as gloves, safety shoes, etc.
