Job Description

Vendor Management Analyst

The Vendor Management Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization's Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) strategy. This is not just another oversight position, it is an opportunity to influence how the company evaluates partners, strengthens its risk posture, and drives smarter decision making across the enterprise. You will dig into complex vendor ecosystems, surface insights that inform leadership, and help design controls that keep the organization resilient and future ready. As the key connection across teams, technologies, and compliance frameworks, you will ensure vendor relationships meet regulatory expectations and enable operational excellence. Your work in this role will directly strengthen the Bank's risk posture and support regulatory readiness, making you a key contributor to the integrity, safety, and long term success of the organization. This role expands your expertise in risk, governance, and compliance through direct exposure to enterprise decision processes and strategic partnerships, building a solid foundation for future growth and potential pathways to senior TPRM, compliance, and operational risk roles.

Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment: Support Inherent and Residual Risk Assessments in line with regulatory expectations by validating key vendor information, analyzing risk indicators (operational, compliance, financial, strategic), and keeping assessments current, sharpening your judgment in complex risk scenarios while elevating the Bank's risk prioritization.
  • Exams & Audits: Coordinate documentation for internal/external audits and state/federal examinations, crafting complete, accurate responses under FDIC third party guidance, gaining high visibility experience with how regulators evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Monitoring & Tracking: Lead ongoing oversight by reviewing due diligence artifacts, performance metrics, and compliance obligations; track and drive remediation of vendor issues; and administer the Vendor Management system, building practical expertise in continuous monitoring and risk analytics.
  • Quality Control (QC): Perform QC reviews across due diligence, contract renewals, and issue remediation to ensure accuracy, policy adherence, and timely escalation, developing a precise eye for control strength and documentation quality that stands up to exams.
  • Communication & Presentation: Translate vendor risk trends into clear, actionable insights for business units and leadership via summaries, dashboards, and presentations, strengthening your data storytelling and influence with senior audiences.
  • Reporting & Responding: Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports for audits, exams, complaint investigations, and internal inquiries, enhancing your analytical and documentation skills while helping the Bank demonstrate effective third party oversight.
  • Recommendations & Guidance: Advise teams on vendor requirements, and documentation standards, identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen controls, building credibility as a trusted, regulatory savvy expert.
  • Projects & Other Duties: Contribute to cross functional initiatives (process, system, and policy enhancements) that improve TPRM maturity and regulatory readiness; perform additional duties as assigned, broadening your toolkit and change management experience.
