Vessel Welder 1st ShiftPay:$26.00$29.00 per hour(Based on Experience)Location:Catoosa, OKShift:6:00 AM 4:30 PMJob Order #:151644Position OverviewStand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Vessel Welders for a manufacturing and fabrication opportunity in Catoosa. This position is responsible for setting up and operating advanced welding equipment, producing high-quality welds, troubleshooting welding issues, and ensuring completed work meets applicable specifications and quality standards.Candidates must have at least 2 years of welding experience and successfully pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test. Previous vessel welding experience is preferred but not required.This position requires a skilled Welder who understands machine settings, can read blueprints and weld symbols, and can identify and correct welding defects while maintaining production and quality standards.Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of welding experience required Must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test Strong MIG welding experience Strong Flux Core welding experience Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment Firm understanding of volts and amps and ability to make appropriate adjustments Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to understand weld symbols Ability to follow work-order instructions and specifications Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic math skills Basic computer and data-entry skills Strong attention to weld quality and defect identification Ability to maintain required production averages Strong communication and teamwork skills Commitment to workplace and welding safetyEssential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate advanced welding equipment Perform MIG and Flux Core welding according to specifications Plan appropriate working procedures for assigned fabrication work Review blueprints, work orders, and weld symbols Set welding machines according to production requirements Adjust volts, amps, and other applicable welding parameters Troubleshoot welding equipment and process concerns Make advanced machine adjustments to maintain quality and productivity Inspect completed products for completeness and conformance Identify welding defects and quality concerns Repair defective products when required Maintain acceptable appearance and workmanship on repaired areas Help eliminate unnecessary scrap, rework, and production downtime Participate in process and weld-procedure improvement activities Maintain required production averages Complete basic data entry for maintenance breakdown calls Coordinate with other departments regarding production and quality needs Follow all company safety and quality procedures Perform additional welding and fabrication duties as assignedWeld Test RequirementCandidates must successfully complete: 3G Position MIG / Flux Core Weld TestPassing the required weld test is mandatory for this position.Vessel welding experience is preferred but not required for candidates who possess the necessary welding skills and can successfully complete the test.Welding Equipment Setup & AdjustmentCandidates must be comfortable: Setting up welding machines Selecting appropriate welding parameters Understanding volts and amps Adjusting equipment to maintain proper weld quality Troubleshooting welding-machine performance Making adjustments during production Identifying equipment concerns that could contribute to defects or downtimeBlueprint & Weld Symbol Responsibilities Read and interpret fabrication blueprints Follow work-order instructions Interpret weld symbols Identify applicable welding specifications Verify work is completed according to drawings Identify discrepancies before or during fabrication Communicate drawing or specification concerns to appropriate personnelQuality ResponsibilitiesQuality is a major responsibility of this position.
