Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Assistant, your duties will include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
- Providing compassionate care and handling for pets of all sizes and temperaments.
- Administering medications and vaccinations under supervision.
- Preparing and maintaining exam rooms, surgical suites, and equipment.
- Performing basic diagnostic tests and preparing lab samples.
- Educating clients on basic pet care and wellness topics.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring a clean, organized clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required; we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational abilities, and a passion for animal care.
- Mindset: A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
