Job Description
Veterinary Referral Center (VRC) is a comprehensive, referral specialty & emergency critical care veterinary hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania. We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for appointments, advanced imaging, surgery and emergency/critical care services. At our hospital, you'll be working alongside a large team of experienced & board-certified veterinarians with advanced specialized training who utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals. Our veterinary services include trauma treatment and critical care, medical oncology, radiation therapy oncology, cardiology, internal medicine, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, dentistry/oral surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, MRI and CT, endoscopy, rehabilitation, and emergency services.We are looking to add a skilled Veterinary Assistant Diagnostic Imaging to complement our growing, fast paced hospital. By joining VRC you will be supported by a team of excellent nurses and assistants along with experienced, board-certified veterinarians. We utilize the latest innovations in medicine and technology to treat companion animals on an emergency basis and/or long-term ailments. Schedule:
- 4/10's
- Hourly range $16-$20/hour
- Overnight shifts receive a $3/hr. shift differential
- Weekend Shifts receives a $3/hr. shift differential
- Practicing proper radiation safety
- Able to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and our patients
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with clients, radiologists and specialists
- Positive outlook, a passion for providing the highest quality in patient care and the ability to deliver exceptional client service.
- Restraining of patients
- Accurately take and process multiple types of radiographs
- Demonstrate proper patient preparation and restraint for ultrasound
- Assist nursing and doctor staff by restraining for examination, phlebotomy, and procedures
- Assist in shared hospital duties such as cleaning, stocking, laundry, etc.
- Maintain the cleaning, stocking, and organizing of the ultrasound rooms
- Assist in other departments when needed
- Cleaning of equipment and cages, and stocking the treatment areas
- Assisting Doctors and Nurses with daily tasks
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience is a plus.
