Are you a board-certified Internist, an experienced residency-trained Internist, or nearing the completion of your residency? This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Internal Medicine team at a leading emergency and specialty hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.Practice / Hospital / Referral Centre InformationThis hospital operates 24/7 and is AAHA-accredited, offering emergency services and specialty care including Ophthalmology, with plans to expand additional specialties. The facility is staffed with experienced ER doctors who are comfortable managing hospitalized cases and specialty patients. The hospital emphasizes a cooperative culture and tailored scheduling to support work-life balance.DepartmentsYou will work alongside a dedicated Emergency team and collaborate with other specialty services such as Anesthesia, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Critical Care, ensuring comprehensive patient care.EquipmentThe hospital features advanced diagnostic and treatment tools, including:

Digital radiology
CT imaging
Endoscopy
In-house laboratory and rapid diagnostics
Point-of-care ultrasound

Staffing LevelsThe team includes board-certified specialists, highly skilled technicians, and support staff committed to providing excellent care. Collaboration across multiple hospitals in the region ensures access to additional expertise and resources.Type of Individual SoughtWe are seeking a team-oriented Internist with excellent communication skills who values collaboration, patient care, and building strong relationships with clients and the referral community.Qualifications Required

ACVIM Internal Medicine certification or ECVIM certification, or residency-trained and eligible for certification
Current state veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration (or eligibility)
