Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Tulsa, Ok
Pay: $17/hour+ DOE
Schedule: 3-4 days per week | 10-12 hour shifts
Position Overview
This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills to provide exceptional service to clients and their pets. The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for managing appointments, maintaining accurate records, handling phone calls and inquiries, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations of the veterinary clinic or hospital.
Responsibilities
Greet clients with a friendly and welcoming demeanor and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Assist pet owners with their animals if needed.
Coordinate and schedule appointments for clients and patients, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy of information.
Manage appointment calendars and make necessary updates or changes as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records, including entering and updating client information, recording patient history, and managing files in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
Manage client invoices, process payments, and provide detailed billing information.
Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Provide basic information to clients about clinic services, procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions.
Answer client questions to the best of your ability or direct inquiries to appropriate veterinary staff.
Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing incoming and outgoing mail, organizing and filing documents, managing office supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized front office area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be willing and physically able to assist with animals if needed and lift 50 pounds.
Previous experience in customer service, receptionist, or administrative roles.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy.
