This full-time Veterinary Technician opportunity is ideal for a Vet Tech who enjoys fast-paced medicine, advanced cases, and hands-on patient care.Whether you’re an experienced ER Veterinary Technician or looking to continue growing your skills in emergency and critical care medicine, this is an opportunity to expand your technical knowledge while working alongside a collaborative emergency and specialty team.Compensation

Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technicians: $20.00–$28.50/hour
Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (CVT/RVT/LVT): $24.00–$29.50/hour
VTS compensation considered based on experience and credentials

Shift Differentials:

Swing Shift (4:00pm–11:59pm): +$2.00/hour
Overnight Shift (6:00pm–6:00am): +$2.50/hour

Schedule

Anticipated schedule: four 9-hour shifts per week
Combination of day and second shifts
Weekend and holiday rotation required

ResponsibilitiesAs an Emergency Veterinary Technician at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH), you’ll play a critical role in patient care while working alongside a collaborative ER and specialty team.

Triage and assess incoming emergency patients
Assist veterinarians with diagnostics, treatments, and emergency procedures
Monitor anesthesia and sedation
Perform laboratory testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
Administer medications and treatments as directed
Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes to the medical team
Deliver compassionate client communication during urgent and emotional situations
Maintain accurate medical records and support efficient workflow throughout the hospital
Collaborate closely with technicians, assistants, CSRs, and DVMs across departments

Qualifications

Veterinary Technician experience required; emergency or critical care experience strongly preferred
CVT/RVT/LVT preferred, but experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced emergency environment
Passion for teamwork, patient care, and delivering exceptional client service
Ability to lift, restrain, and care for patients of varying sizes
Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
