Veterinary Technician, General Practice | $22–$28/hr (up to $36+ for VTS) | Full-Time Benefits | Four 9-hour shifts | Lawrence, MA
Are you a passionate Veterinary Technician looking for a fulfilling career opportunity? Look no further! Bulger Veterinary Hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our General Practice!Compensation
- $22–$28/hour based on experience, technical skills, and skill leveling assessment
- Could go up to $36 and even higher for VTS!
- Four 9-hour shifts per week between 7:00 AM–9:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required

- CVT/LVT/RVT license reimbursement
- VTS financial support and onsite mentorship
- Provide compassionate nursing care and exceptional patient handling
- Obtain patient histories and collect vital signs
- Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
- Administer medications via IV and other routes as prescribed
- Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments
- Perform accurate drug calculations
- Maintain detailed medical records and patient documentation
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Support hospital efficiency through teamwork and collaboration across departments
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive hospital culture
- Mentor and support fellow technicians and team members as needed
- Experience working as a Veterinary Technician in a clinical setting
- Strong technical veterinary nursing skills
- Ability to perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement confidently
- Knowledge of medication administration and drug calculations
- Strong communication and client service skills
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset
- Interest in continued learning and professional development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment
- CVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are welcomed but not required
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
