Veterinary Technician/Office Manager

Job Description: Experienced or Credentialed Veterinary Technician/ Office Manager This role focuses on advanced clinical support and medical procedures that require professional licensure. Clinical Care: Administer anesthesia and monitor vital signs during surgery. Diagnostics: Perform laboratory tests (blood work, urinalysis) and take diagnostic radiographs (X-rays). Patient Management: Provide advanced nursing care, calculate drug dosages, and manage IV catheterization. Client Education: Counsel pet owners on medical conditions, post-operative care, and preventive health measures. Animal restraint and exam room assistance. Physical activity (standing, lifting, bending). Cleaning and maintaining clinical areas. Veterinary Technician: While often similar to credentialed roles, this typically encompasses the core medical responsibilities of the technical team. Surgical Support: Prepare patients and equipment for surgery; assist veterinarians during procedures. Medical Procedures: Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by the veterinarian. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed medical records and controlled substance logs. Observation: Recognize changes in the patient's symptoms and alert the veterinarian to any concerns. Veterinary Assistant: This role focuses on supportive care, facility maintenance, and assisting the technical staff. Animal Handling: Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures, as well as in exam rooms Patient Husbandry: Handle basic care such as feeding, watering, and walking patients, as well as assisting with cleaning and maintaining clinical areas Facility Upkeep: Clean and sterilize surgical instruments, exam rooms, and kennels. Administrative Support: Help with client check-ins, pharmacy refills, and stocking supplies. Must be physical activity (standing, lifting, bending). Office Manager: We are hiring a technician who would like to expand their skill set.
