Job Description
Fetch Veterinary is seeking a skilled and compassionate Overnight Emergency/ICU Veterinary Technician to join our dedicated team. As an Emergency/ICU Veterinary Technician, you will provide critical care and support to our hospitalized patients. This position offers an exciting and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency and critical care to patients in the ICU
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment
- Perform diagnostic procedures and laboratory tests
- Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
- Provide compassionate care and support to pet owners during difficult times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a veterinary technician in an emergency or ICU setting
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- Strong knowledge of emergency and critical care procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
