Job Description

Job Title

Vice President – Value Chain Finance | Originations & Execution

Job Description

Rabobank’s Value Chain Finance (VCF) team delivers bespoke asset-based financing solutions that unlock liquidity and working capital for leading companies across Food & Agriculture and the Energy Transition. The customized transactions are typically structured on a limited or non-recourse basis, including securitizations and receivables purchase facilities.

As a Vice President, you will operate as a true deal captain — support in originating opportunities, leading client conversations, structuring solutions, and driving transactions from first pitch through closing and beyond. You will combine commercial instinct, technical structuring expertise, and hands-on execution to bring sophisticated financings to life.

This is a front-office, high-ownership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of client strategy, credit, structuring, modeling, and legal execution.

What You’ll Do

  • Own transactions end-to-end — lead and support deals from initial client pitch, structuring, and credit approval through documentation, syndication, and closing
  • Originate and shape opportunities alongside Relationship Managers by identifying working capital needs and translating them into tailored Value Chain Finance solutions
  • Build and deliver compelling pitch materials and storylines, and over time independently lead client presentations and negotiations
  • Structure and model complex asset-based financings, including private securitizations, (securitized) asset-based lending, and receivables purchase facilities
  • Run the execution process — coordinate with the client, credit, risk, legal, external counsel, syndicate banks, and other internal stakeholders to drive timelines and close transactions
  • Support and lead commercial negotiations with corporate clients and counterparties
  • Evaluate credit and structural risks, ensuring opportunities fit within VCF’s risk appetite and deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a go-to execution leader within the broader VCF platform

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience in wholesale banking, structured finance, asset-based lending, securitizations, or working capital solutions
  • Demonstrated experience running complex deals independently, not just supporting execution
  • Strong financial modeling, structuring, and credit analysis skills
  • Comfort operating directly with clients and senior stakeholders; strong commercial presence and negotiation skills
  • Experience in Food & Agriculture and/or Energy Transition sectors preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
  • Willingness to travel regionally (up to ~15%)
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (no visa sponsorship available)

Why This Role

  • Front-office ownership and direct client exposure
  • High-complexity, bespoke transactions (not commoditized lending)
  • Opportunity to shape solutions that materially impact clients’ balance sheets
  • Growing platform with meaningful responsibility and visibility
