Job Description
Join a well-established regional community bank known for its relationship-driven approach and local decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Relationship Manager (VP/FVP level) to manage and expand a high-quality portfolio primarily in Commercial Real Estate (CRE).
This individual will build new relationships, ensure the continued health of existing accounts, and serve as a trusted financial advisor to business clients across the community. The ideal candidate brings deep lending expertise, sound credit judgment, and a collaborative mindset. There is also potential to mentor or train a junior lender as the team grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned commercial portfolio (~$25–30MM, primarily CRE) while maintaining asset quality and compliance with bank credit policies.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the community through networking, referrals, and relationship building.
- Analyze financial statements and prepare credit packages for approval within lending authority.
- Partner with credit, retail, and treasury management teams to deliver customized financial solutions.
- Present loan requests to loan committee and senior management as needed.
- Maintain frequent communication with clients to anticipate needs and provide exceptional service.
- Represent the bank professionally in community and business organizations.
- Mentor or support junior lending staff as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of commercial lending experience;CRE & C&I lending experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build new relationships while managing a performing loan portfolio.
- Strong credit analysis and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- High integrity, professional presence, and a team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bank lending software.
