Architecting the Future: Vice President of Platform Product Management (AI & Ecosystems)

You will have the unique mandate to redefine the product development lifecycle for an AI-first paradigm, overseeing the strategic execution of Trimble Connect and driving common capabilities across a high-growth, global matrixed organization.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Platform Transformation:Lead the strategic shift from products and apps to a shared platform ecosystem. Develop and evangelize a roadmap for common services that provides a clear "path to value" for Trimble’s autonomous business units.

  • Trimble Connect: As the centerpiece of our collaborative and unifying common data environment, ensure maximization of Trimble Connect’s value and impact globally.

  • AI-First Product and UX Leadership: Transform the product management function to operate in an AI-first paradigm. This includes redefining the product development lifecycle for AI, accelerating time to customer validation and to market validation for new capabilities

  • Unified Roadmap:Develop a modern, novel approach to rigorous and ongoing capital allocation and prioritization across a large product portfolio, ensuring an optimal balance across new and mature products.

  • Capability Driven Adoption and Relationship Management: Act as the primary driver for platform approaches and requirements across Trimble’s sectors. Build and foster deep, collaborative relationships with product and engineering leadership to adopt and create common platform capabilities.Navigate a complex, highly matrixed organization to create buy-in, clearly articulating the strategic trade-offs and long-term value of a platform and capability-driven approach.

  • Metrics and Analytics-Driven Governance:Establish and track clear KPIs to measure platform impact, including adoption rates, internal customer satisfaction, speed-to-market improvements for sectors, and platform-driven revenue growth.

  • Strategy and Product Marketing:Partner with GTM and marketing teams to define the value proposition of the Trimble Platform. Ensure that platform capabilities are effectively translated into competitive advantages in the marketplace.

  • GTM Execution:Collaborate on pricing, packaging, and commercialization strategies for platform-enabled services, ensuring they align with broader objectives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in Product Management leadership within a large B2B SaaS or platform-centric environment.

  • Proven track record of leading major organizational transformations, specifically moving from multi-product portfolios to unified platform models.

  • Demonstrated experience evolving a product organization to be AI-first, including deep knowledge of AI deployment and monitoring.

  • Exceptional ability to influence and build buy-in within a complex, highly matrixed, or decentralized corporate structure.

  • Strong background in GTM strategy, product marketing, and capital allocation for large product portfolios.

Bonus Points For

  • Advanced degree (MBA) or technical degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

  • Deep familiarity with modern cloud architecture, data lakehouses, and large-scale API ecosystems.

  • Experience in conflict resolution across competing business units with a service-oriented mindset toward internal customers.

Compensation:  Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
