Job Title:Vice President of Sales and Engineering

Job Summary:

As Vice President of Sales and Engineering, you will serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President. This role is central to shaping and executing customer strategies that drive the continued growth of Ridgeview Industries. You will lead initiatives to expand relationships with existing customers while developing strategic roadmaps to attract and grow new customers. The role also oversees front-end launch activities and serves as the primary day-to-day customer interface. Additionally, you will be responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing team through talent acquisition, training and development, and succession planning, ensuring Ridgeview maintains both the right capabilities and its core culture.

The ideal candidate for this role will have the following credentials

Primary responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:  Engage with the existing customer base to support current business needs, providing oversight and guidance on quoting activity, customer profitability, and organizational alignment to ensure all upfront customer requirements are met.

Customer Strategy:  Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to grow key customer accounts while identifying and pursuing opportunities to attract and develop new customers.

New Program and Launch Oversight:  Oversee upfront commercial and launch activities for new programs, ensuring initiatives are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with customer and business objectives.

Talent and Organizational Development:  Attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent within theSalesand Engineering teams by driving operational effectiveness through training, career development, and succession planning.

Reporting and Leadership:  As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, customer strategy, and key initiatives to the President, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of progressive senior-level experience in Sales, Business Development, or a closely related leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing upfront commercial and launch activities, including cross-functional coordination to support successful program execution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships, influence key stakeholders, and effectively manage complex or challenging customer situations.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop, articulate, and execute customer growth and market development strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Proven track record of attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing teams through effective hiring, training, career development, and succession planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess customer, market, and operational data and provide hands-on support when direct customer engagement or operational involvement is required.
