Video Editor (Design-Driven & Ai-Oriented Content) - Industrial Color

Industrial Color is a leader in creative production, partnering with the world’s top brands, agencies, and creatives to bring visionary ideas to life. We are seeking a mid-level Video Editor to join our team. This role is ideal for a creative editor with a strong design sensibility who is excited by emerging tools, especially AI-generated footage, and enjoys crafting visually engaging, fast-moving content. 

You’ll be editing short form, design-driven videos that rely on creative transitions, time remapping, motion-forward pacing, and experimentation. This is a great opportunity for an editor early in their mid-level career who is eager to grow their craft while working on visually elevated branded content. Experience editing CG or product-focused beauty content, as well as fast-paced, social-first videos, is a strong fit for this role. This role operates in a hybrid capacity with several days per week onsite in our Tribeca Studios.

Responsibilities:

• Edit design-oriented video content using AI-generated footage.
• Create visually dynamic edits featuring creative transitions, time remapping, and rhythmic pacing
• Collaborate with producers, designers, and creatives to bring concepts to life
• Incorporate light motion design elements when appropriate to support storytelling
• Experiment with AI tools and workflows to enhance storytelling and efficiency
• Maintain consistency with brand style while pushing creative boundaries
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Content Factory environment
• Stay current with editing trends, design aesthetics, motion techniques, and emerging AI technologies

Requirements

• Approximately 2–5 years of professional video editing experience or equivalent portfolio
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects experience preferred
• Solid understanding of design principles, motion, and visual storytelling
• Experience creating edits with creative transitions, time remapping, and effects-driven moments
• Comfort working with non-traditional footage, including AI-generated content
• Interest in AI tools and experimental creative workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to take creative direction and feedback
• Organized, collaborative, and able to work efficiently under deadlines

Preferred

• Motion design or animation skills, including basic After Effects workflows
• Hands-on experience with AI video tools or generative platforms
• Experience editing visually elevated, design-driven branded content, often centered around product, motion, and detail
• Familiarity with social, digital, or branded content formats
• Interest in emerging tech, design culture, and visual experimentation

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
