Job Description

AccuWeather is a global leader in weather forecasting and digital media. We are committed to delivering the most accurate and timely weather information to our audience across various digital platforms. As part of our growing team, the Video Production Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to content creation for one of the leading weather networks worldwide.

This paid internship runs for approximately 10 weeks, from late May 2026 through early to mid-August 2026, and requires a commitment of about 20 hours per week. The internship also must be completed onsite at AccuWeather Headquarters in State College, PA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Curate and find compelling weather-related videos from a variety of sources, including user-generated content.
  • Edit informative and engaging weather-related videos for AccuWeather's digital platforms, social media, and network broadcasts.
  • Organize and maintain AccuWeather's video archive library, ensuring clips are properly cataloged for easy access and identification.
  • Gain experience in all aspects of video production, from initial concept to final execution, within a national weather network environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree
  • Strong interest in video production and weather-related content.
  • Basic experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for learning about video production processes and creating engaging content.
