Violence Intervention Program Supervisor

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Violence Intervention Program Supervisor to join our team! This role is located in Omaha, NE. Encompass Omaha is a hospital based violence intervention program that provides culturally competent intensive case management to provide medical, behavioral, and social support services to victims of violence treated at Nebraska Medicine. The goal of the program is to reduce recidivism of violent reinjury and increase protective factors to help victims heal from their injury and transition back into the community. This position is looking for someone who can support the work of the team and understands the greater impact violence has on the patient and the community.

Duties: Violence Intervention Program Supervisor

Serve on the leadership team as the HBVIP program supervisor for the designated operation by overseeing all aspects of day-to-day patient care operations. Partner closely with colleagues to serve as a clinical expert, regularly model/mentor and train colleagues on assessment skills, make decisions regarding daily priorities for the work group, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues and complete performance appraisals and/or corrective actions. The supervisor will also identify patients for inclusion into the program, seek program feedback and collect data for the purposes of performance improvement, solicit funding, and create and maintain relationships with crucial community-based services. This individual will function as a core member of the trauma patient care team. This position is responsible for the establishment and monitoring of key business metrics, tracking and review of projects and integration of new process and quality improvement tools. Will provide and assist with the coordination of new business analysis, assessment, strategic planning, due diligence, partnership formation, financial impact and justification that aligns with the strategic plan.

Required Qualifications: Violence Intervention Program Supervisor

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) OR bachelor's degree in related field (Social Work, Psychology, Public Health) required

Minimum of two years recent nursing experience relevant to trauma required

Minimum of two years of experience to include the majority of the following: serve as a clinical expert for a group of employees, regularly model/mentor and train employees on technical skills, make decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group, provide guidance to and/or assist staff on non-routine or escalated issues and provide input on performance appraisals and/or corrective actions required.

Preferred Qualifications: Violence Intervention Program Supervisor

Demonstrated experience and competency with quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and/or process development in the healthcare arena preferred.

Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation preferred.

Some management OR leadership experience preferred.

Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) OR Master's degree in related field (Social Work, Psychology, Public Health) preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
