THE JOB

Hollywood Casino Amphitheater is looking for a VIP Usher to uphold high standards of service in our exclusive VIP areas. High level customer service is the key! This position works closely with our season ticket holders making sure their event experience is top notch! An outgoing personality, plus being detail oriented and great memory recall are valued skills in this position. The standard greeter/ticket taker/usher duties still apply, such as help to ensure safety, help to maintain the cleanliness of the venue (especially the private box and club areas) and engage with all guests to assist with their needs before, during and after the show.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO

  • Greet VIP guests, scan guest tickets upon entry to the venue, answer guest questions, assist guests with locating their seats and examines tickets for entry to various seat levels around the venue during the event.

  • Give proper recognition to Live Nation Executives and VIPs to instill appreciation for their patronage.

  • Serve as a resource of information for all guests regarding their experience within both the lounges and music areas.

  • Assist guests regarding the timing of the supporting acts and headliner acts.

  • Constant observation of lounge area, upholding the ambiance of the lounge or seating section.

  • Exhibit articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with audience.

  • Present exemplary and professional appearance.

  • Examine tickets or passes to verify authenticity.

  • Resolve guest complaints or problems.

  • Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.

  • Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.

  • Show CARE by participating in the venue's sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.

  • Partner with fellow band members at the end of show to close the venue- this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment such as lawn chairs, barricade, etc.

  • Additional tasks as requested by management.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, problem solving

  • Skill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacy

  • Must have a flexible schedule
