Position: School PsychologistLocation: Tucson, ArizonaContract Length: 36 weeksWeekly Compensation: Up to $65/Hr, based on experience
Job Description: As a School Psychologist, you will be integral in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to assess and provide interventions for students experiencing learning, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Your role will contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, fostering student success and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students with learning and behavioral challenges.*
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing emotional, social, or behavioral difficulties.*
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to address academic and behavioral needs.*
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to create and implement tailored intervention plans.*
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).*
- Offer consultation and recommendations to support staff in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive student outcomes.*
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.*
- Provide crisis intervention and psychological support during emergency situations.*
- Stay current with the latest trends, research, and best practices in school psychology.
Education+ Certification Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.*
- Valid Arizona State Certification or License as a School Psychologist.*
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with diverse student populations, is preferred.*
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.*
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.*
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
