The Vice President of Engineering, Supply Chain and Merchandising systems is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the engineering teams dedicated to developing and maintaining supply chain and merchandising systems. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of supply chain and merchandising operations, as well as strong technical expertise. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, ensure system integrity, and align technology solutions with the company's strategic objectives.

Location & Work Availability:

This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the technology strategy for supply chain and merchandising systems ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical leaders, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of supply chain, merchandising applications, and related infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of supply chain and merchandising systems, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, streamline processes, and reduce costs.

  • Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new solutions for business advantage.

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners to ensure successful project delivery and support.

  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences, promoting the company's technology vision and achievements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • 15+ years of experience in engineering and technology leadership, with a focus on financial and corporate systems.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex technology projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong understanding of finance and corporate operations, including accounting, budgeting, and compliance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., ERP, SAP, Oracle) and corporate applications (e.g., HRIS, CRM) is a plus.

Technology Skills:

  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in designing and managing cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including risk management and compliance.

  • Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to drive data-driven decision-making

  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies and their application in financial and corporate systems.

  • Advanced understanding of enterprise architecture and system integration, including API management and microservices architecture.
