Job Overview:
The IT Vendor Manager serves as the primary relationship lead and contract strategist for a portfolio of technology vendors supporting trading, brokerage, and market‑operations platforms. The role requires experience in capital markets technology, vendor governance, commercial strategy, and performance management to ensure vendor partners meet regulatory, operational, and service‑level expectations across the trade lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Vendor Leadership
Serve as the relationship manager for technology vendors supporting trading platforms, capital markets systems, and market‑operations environments.
Lead vendor governance activities including performance reviews, service‑delivery oversight, and vendor‑driven innovation discussions.
Ensure commercial value retention and alignment with organizational investment goals.
Commercial & Contract Management
Act as a subject matter expert on contract structures, usage models, commercial terms, pricing, and licensure structures specific to capital‑markets technology vendors.
Partner with Procurement on benchmarking, pricing negotiations, and commercial strategies for multi‑service agreements.
Lead Technology's contributions to RFI/RFP processes to ensure requirements reflect trading‑platform needs, regulatory considerations, and operational dependencies.
Technology & Market Expertise
Advise on emerging technologies, market‑structure developments, regulatory changes, and evolving vendor capabilities.
Evaluate vendor offerings and industry trends across equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, execution, OMS/EMS, and related trading‑technology verticals.
Provide technology leaders with insights supporting platform strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor‑selection activities.
Operational & Risk Management
Monitor vendor performance, SLAs, operational stability, incident responsiveness, and delivery quality to ensure alignment with trading‑environment expectations.
Identify and escalate operational, compliance, regulatory, cybersecurity, and third‑party risks.
Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Compliance teams to verify that vendors meet regulatory and control requirements.
Support escalated incident resolution and manage vendor offboarding activities as needed.

Requirements:
12+ years of experience managing technology vendors, contracts, or strategic partnerships.
10+ years of financial‑services experience supporting capital markets, trading systems, market data, OMS/EMS platforms, or trade‑lifecycle technology.
Experience working with major trading‑technology or capital‑markets vendors.
Experience with negotiation, commercial analysis, cost modeling, or vendor‑pricing structures.
Experience developing or evaluating RFPs, SLAs, and complex technical/commercial agreements.

Pay Range:
$127,501-$212,502/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
