Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare organization known for its transformative leadership and innovative approach, is hiring a Vice President of Healthcare Human Resources to spearhead its HR strategy and operations. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned executive with a strong presence, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of HR within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will drive recruitment and retention initiatives, oversee benefits programs, and enhance onboarding processes, all while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement, and benefits management.
- Lead, mentor, and expand a lean HR team, including hiring a Senior Director of HR.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and employment regulations, particularly within NYC.
- Manage complex employee relations issues, including difficult conversations and terminations, with professionalism and discretion.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to implement policies, procedures, and organizational changes that support business growth.
- Streamline HR workflows, improve internal structures, and support organizational change initiatives.
- Stay abreast of employment law updates and maintain a high level of legal expertise in HR matters.
- Be hands-on in daily HR operations, maintaining direct involvement in critical staffing, onboarding, and benefits decisions.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or CCP are advantageous.
- 1215+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 57 years in a senior or enterprise-level role.
- Deep expertise in employment law, labor regulations (including NYC specifics), and investigations.
- Proven ability in organizational design, change management, and building high-performing teams.
- Exceptional executive presence, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including outside standard business hours when needed.
- Willingness to support a 24/7 operational environment.
