Job Description
We are partnering with a multi-entity private company seeking a seasoned accounting leader to oversee accounting operations, lead a team, and ensure strong financial controls across four related companies. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, integrity, and steady leadership, while still thinking big picture.
EducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA or MBA preferred, not required
Experience8 + years of progressive accounting experience5 + years of people management with increasing responsibility3 + years in a senior or management accounting role, ideally supporting multiple entitiesEpicor ERP V9 or V10 preferred, other mid-market ERP systems a plus
Key QualificationsStrong knowledge of GAAP and multi-entity accountingExperience supporting acquisitionsSolid understanding of internal controls and risk mitigationProven ability to lead, develop, and retain accounting staffStrong prioritization skills across competing deadlinesCollaborative partner to Sales, Purchasing, and OperationsBackground in manufacturing, distribution, or project-based environments preferredHigh attention to detail with a strong big picture mindsetUnwavering ethics and commitment to financial integrity
ResponsibilitiesOversee accounting operations for four related private companiesManage daily cash activity, receipts, disbursements, and banking complianceLead and mentor a team of eight across AP, AR Credit, and General AccountingEnsure internal controls are designed, documented, and consistently followedIdentify process gaps and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracyOversee accounting systems and financial reporting structureEnsure timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statementsPrepare and distribute financial statements, borrowing base certificates, and required reportsReview general ledger reconciliations and account analysesProvide leadership in Epicor ERP implementation and optimizationCoordinate audits and year-end reviews with external auditorsServe as primary accounting liaison with management, auditors, and lenders
