- Lead and mentor an HR team across functions such as talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, and compliance.
- Oversee recruitment for project management, field operations, administrative, and leadership roles.
- Build and maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Standardize HR policies, procedures, employee handbook updates, and compliance with federal/state laws (Michigan & multi-state operations as required).
- Support leadership with succession planning, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.
- Lead culture, retention, and employee engagement efforts across diverse teams.
- Partner with safety leadership to support field staff, onboarding, and workforce readiness.
- Ensure accurate HRIS data management, reporting, and documentation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and employees at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, skilled trades, or similar industries strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, compliance, and workforce relations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.
