About This RoleWe are is seeking a Vice President of Media, Insurance to lead and scale the companys paid media and customer acquisition strategy for its P&C insurance vertical.This executive will own the vision, strategy, and performance of a multi-channel, multi-million-dollar media portfolio, driving profitable growth through full-funnel optimization, advanced analytics, and disciplined capital allocation. - Define and own the long-term vision and strategic roadmap for paid media across the P&C insurance business
- Serve as a key strategic advisor to the GM and executive team on growth, investment strategy, and market expansion
- Translate company-level revenue and margin goals into scalable acquisition strategies and media investment frameworks
- Lead annual and quarterly planning, including forecasting, budget allocation, and performance targets
- Establish us as a market leader in performance-driven insurance acquisition through innovation and best-in-class execution
- Own end-to-end acquisition performance across all paid channels, optimizing for profitability, not just volume
- Drive improvements across core metrics including CPL, CAC, ROAS, quote rate, bind rate, and LTV
- Ensure alignment between media strategy and downstream outcomes, including underwriting approval and policy conversion
- Build closed-loop feedback systems connecting media performance to revenue realization and margin contribution
- Optimize for high-intent, bindable leads that meet carrier and partner standards
- Oversee a diversified, multi-channel media portfolio including Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic, Native, Affiliate, and Emerging Channels
- Allocate and optimize significant media budgets with a strong focus on marginal return, incrementality, and efficiency
- Identify and scale new acquisition channels to reduce platform dependency and unlock incremental growth
- Develop sophisticated channel mix and bidding strategies informed by advanced analytics and market dynamics
- Champion a data-first culture, leveraging advanced analytics, attribution modeling, and media mix modeling to guide decision-making
- Partner with Data, BI, and Product teams to build scalable measurement frameworks and real-time performance visibility
- Drive adoption of AI and machine learning tools to enhance bidding, targeting, creative optimization, and lead scoring
- Invest in and evolve the MarTech stack to support scalable, efficient, and compliant growth
- Establish and enforce best-in-class compliance standards across all media activities, including TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and state-level insurance regulations
- Partner closely with Legal and Compliance to proactively manage risk and ensure business continuity
- Safeguard platform account health and maintain strong relationships with key media partners
- Partner with Sales, Carrier Partnerships, and Operations to ensure alignment on lead quality, underwriting requirements, and revenue outcomes
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to enhance funnel performance, user experience, and conversion rates
- Influence pricing, partner strategy, and go-to-market decisions through deep performance insights
- Act as the connective tissue between marketing investment and business performance
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing media organization, including senior leaders and specialized channel experts
- Establish clear KPIs, OKRs, and accountability frameworks aligned to business outcomes
- Foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and continuous improvement
- Develop leadership bench strength and future talent within the organization
- 10+ years in performance marketing, digital acquisition, or growth leadership roles
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing large teams and significant media budgets ($10M+ annually preferred)
- Proven track record of scaling profitable customer acquisition in regulated industries (insurance strongly preferred; fintech/healthcare also relevant)
- Deep experience managing full-funnel performance, from lead generation through revenue realization (quote? bind? LTV)
- Strong understanding of P&C insurance economics, including carrier dynamics, underwriting constraints, and lead marketplace ecosystems
- Deep expertise across multiple paid channels (search, social, programmatic, affiliate, native)
- Advanced knowledge of attribution, incrementality testing, and media mix modeling
- Strong analytical fluency; comfortable working with large datasets, SQL, and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Experience with CRM and lead management systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, ping-post platforms)
- Familiarity with leading MarTech and attribution platforms (e.g., Northbeam, Rockerbox, Triple Whale)
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect marketing investment to financial outcomes
- Data-driven decision maker with a bias toward experimentation and continuous optimization
- Experience operating in high-growth, PE-backed, or performance-driven environments
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing, scalable teams
- Direct experience in P&C insurance (auto, home, renters, commercial lines)
- Background working with or alongside insurance aggregators (e.g., EverQuote, MediaAlpha, GoHealth)
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks within insurance marketing
- Experience implementing AI-driven marketing and optimization strategies
- Track record of building or transforming media organizations at scale
