Who are we hiring?

The Vice President, Payroll will lead a highly complex, multi-country payroll organization supporting over 13,000 employees across three publicly traded companies. The role requires deep expertise in Oracle HCM Payroll, public company governance, and large-scale payroll transformation within a multi-entity environment. The VP, Payroll will serve as the enterprise leader accountable for payroll accuracy, compliance, internal controls, and modernization.

What will you do?

  • Define and execute a multi-year payroll transformation roadmap aligned to enterprise strategy.
  • Drive operational excellence across multi-state, multi-country, and multi-entity environments.
  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations across 20+ payrolls with multiple pay cadences (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly).
  • Oversee payroll delivery for a 13,000-employee workforce across the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland.
  • Ensure flawless execution of union payroll requirements, including multi-rate structures, overtime, shift differentials, retroactive adjustments, and union dues.
  • Manage the relationship with ADP for tax processing, garnishments, WOTC, and payroll disbursements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on payroll risk, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Build and develop a high-performing payroll team.
  • Lead change management through payroll transformation initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish KPI and SLA frameworks that drive measurable performance outcomes.

What do you need to succeed?

  • We are looking for a payroll leader who thrives in transformation environments; someone who can define the long-term roadmap, influence stakeholders, and personally step in to strengthen operations, redesign processes, and deliver results.
  • 15+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility within publicly traded organizations.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Oracle HCM Payroll, including large-scale implementation and post-go-live optimization.
  • Significant experience managing payroll operations for large, non-exempt workforces including unionized workforces.
  • Proven success overseeing multi-entity, multi-country payroll environments.
  • Strong knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and public company governance standards.
  • Experience managing payroll across the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; CPP preferred.

$250,000-$280,000 USD
