We are looking for the best talent to join us on that journey. We believe we can accomplish more when we #Face Forward Together!

About the Role

The Vice President, Vendor Performance / Value Chain, is responsible for setting the strategic direction of Orveon's global direct procurement and third-party manufacturing network across bareMinerals, BUXOM, and Laura Mercier.

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer, this role leads the development and execution of long term sourcing and contract manufacturing strategies that enable innovation, accelerate commercialization, and strengthen cost structure performance across a multi brand portfolio. The VP partners closely with Product Development, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure procurement and manufacturing strategies are embedded early in brand planning and growth initiatives.

This position requires a seasoned leader with deep direct procurement expertise, strong contract manufacturer experience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct Procurement & Contract Manufacturing Strategy

  • Own global direct procurement strategy across raw materials, components, and finished goods.
  • Develop and lead long term contract manufacturer strategies aligned to innovation pipelines and global launch calendars.
  • Negotiate complex, high value CM agreements, pricing structures, MOQs, and strategic partnerships to balance cost, flexibility, speed, and risk.
  • Drive COGs productivity and structural cost transformation initiatives, including Design to Value, competitive sourcing events, and cost transparency programs.
  • Reduce lead times and mitigate supply risk through turnkey transitions, optimized stocking strategies, and network enhancements across third party manufacturers.

Vendor Governance & Value Creation

  • Establish performance frameworks including executive QBRs, scorecards, and joint strategic roadmaps to improve transparency, accountability, and long term value creation.
  • Lead executive level business reviews with key contract manufacturers.
  • Partner with Finance to establish and deliver multiyear COGs productivity targets across the direct spend portfolio.
  • Partner cross functionally to embed sourcing strategy early in product development and commercialization planning.

Leadership & Organizational Impact

  • Lead and develop a multi layered team, fostering commercial rigor, accountability, and cross functional collaboration.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on procurement strategy, vendor risk, and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Provide oversight across select indirect categories to ensure alignment with broader enterprise sourcing priorities.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in direct procurement and strategic sourcing within beauty, personal care or a similar innovation driven industry.
  • Strong track record negotiating complex contract manufacturer agreements and managing significant direct spend portfolios.
  • Experience supporting fast paced innovation pipelines and commercialization environments.
  • Exposure to global third-party manufacturing networks required.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive COGs productivity, cost transformation, and margin expansion.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence senior cross functional stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree
