Job Description

Job Summary: Critical Care ICU Nurse - Provide direct and individualized critical care nursing to ICU/CCU patients using scientific nursing principles - Consult and coordinate with health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans - Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions per policy - Deliver basic bedside care including monitoring and recording vital signs - Initiate and provide patient and family education on post-treatment care, medication self-administration, nutrition, and rehabilitation - Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results to assess patient conditions - Collect samples for lab work and interpret lab reports - Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments - Respond to life-saving and emergency situations using nursing protocols and standards - Accurately and timely document all patient care and interventions - Apply protocols for Hemodynamic monitoring, Phlebotomy, and IV therapy - Monitor, adjust, and interpret specialized ICU equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators, central lines) - Ensure proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing - Initiate corrective actions when monitoring equipment indicates adverse symptoms - Maintain all certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS - Hold a valid state nursing license or compact license (with required verifications) - Demonstrate proof of right to work in the United States - Work scheduled shifts (e.g., 1845-0715) in a hospital critical care setting
