Warehouse Assistant / Material Handler
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hourShift: Day Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant / Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for accurately handling materials, preparing customer orders, and ensuring all products meet quality and shipping requirements.
The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, organized, and able to meet daily production and shipping deadlines while working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials (quantity, condition, and documentation)
- Enter receiving transactions into MRP/ERP systems (MAX)
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including BOLs and packing slips
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy
- Store materials properly to prevent damage and maintain organization
- Support basic assembly tasks as needed (glass, hardware, gaskets, etc.)
- Report shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely

Knowledge & Skills
- Forklift experience required
- Experience with shipping/receiving and inventory systems (MRP/ERP preferred)
- Ability to read packing lists, part numbers, and basic documentation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic understanding of warehouse and logistics processes
