Warehouse Assistant / Forklift Driver: 2Nd Shift (M - Th, 1:45Pm - 12:00 Am)

Role Summary:

The warehouse assistant is responsible for orderly storage of raw materials and finished goods; promptly supplying the raw materials needed to various production areas; transporting skidded finished goods from production areas to proper location in the warehouse; and assembling, staging and final preparation for shipment.

Accountable for:

• Unload raw materials, make certain that raw materials are safely and efficiently stored, including accurate record of materials on hand.
• Follows good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety.
• Fulfill raw material needs of various production areas by transporting to the area and recording the transfer of material.
• Transport finished goods to warehouse, record accurate count and production variety, and safely and effectively store until shipment.
• Assemble orders for shipment, record product flow, prepare shipping documentation, and load for shipment.
• Completes other projects as assigned by the production manager or other leader.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Understanding and application of RFID scanning systems
• A Commercial Driver's License is helpful, but not required. PI will pay for training if required.
• Ability to safely operate all warehouse mobile equipment.
• Normally 1-2 years production experience in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
• Previous work effectively with records containing numerical detail.
• Proficient in English.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting of 15-25 lbs.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Tolerate exposure to temperature variation.
• Safely operate any required mobile equipment.
• Occasional repetitious tasks with upper extremities
• Prolonged periods of standing on concrete floor
• Attention to detail
• Ability to correctly wear and use personal protective equipment
