Allentown- Sharp Pharmaceutical PackersJob Location 7451 Keebler Way Allentown PA 18106 Shifts: 1st shift: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3pm 2nd shift: Monday to Friday 7 am to 3 pm 3rd shift: Sunday to Thursday 11pm to 7 amGeneral Summary The Line Associate performs hand assembly functions by placing pharmaceutical medication in containers for shipment according to quantity and quality as specified by pharmaceutical regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Place packaged pharmaceutical material into container working from a machine, conveyor, or stationary table. -Inspect units for quality as they are packaged. -May use a sorting machine, hand-sorting device or operate a toggle machine. -May code stamp packages, place labels on shippers, assemble container displays, and place inserts into containers as required. -May be required to count material, re-work returned material or shell rejected material. -Other duties may be assigned.Physical/Cognitive Requirements -Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable English words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. -Ability to print and speak English . -Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. -Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.Dress Code Dress Code is White Shirt and White Pants or White Shirt and Black pants (ex: t-shirts, pants, sweatpants, joggers, legging, jeans, scrubs) Footwear= comfortable clean and can be any color No rips or tears in clothing and no shortsWorking Conditions The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
