Warehouse Associate

We are a local family-owned business looking to hire a Warehouse Associate. Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor and/or departmental leads, you will be responsible for moving product throughout the warehouse, pulling product to prepare for shipping, loading and unloading delivery trucks and documenting all inventory that you handle. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving a forklift. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be in the right place at the right time to achieve maximum efficiency.

It is important to note that while operating a forklift may be a large portion of this position, you will also be expected to perform tasks manually. This could include moving large boxes from one location to another, using tools like tape guns and pallet wrap, and labeling product correctly.

It is also vital that all tasks regarding the product in the warehouse must be fulfilled using scan guns or receiving/packing stations.

Responsibilities:

·        Come to work on time and prepared for work day ahead.

·        Move inventory and materials across the facility.

·        Stack and organize large bulk items.

·        Pull orders to prepare for shipment.

·        Load and unload trucks manually and with a forklift.

·        Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.

·        Note and request any damaged materials or replacements needed.

·        Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations.

·        Ensure timely delivery of freight.

·        Complete all tasks assigned.

Complete side work assigned by supervisor

Skills:

• Proven experience as forklift operator.
• Be able to lift to 50lbs.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• High school diploma or equivalent
