Overview
We are seeking a safety-focused Warehouse Associate to support order picking and inventory operations in a large distribution environment. This role involves operating order pickers at elevated heights, handling materials, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in a fast-paced warehouse setting.Responsibilities
- Operate an order picker at heights up to 28 feet to pick and stage inventory
- Use RF scanners to identify items, confirm picks, and track inventory locations
- Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive, verify, and stock incoming materials
- Move large items, including appliances, using team-lift procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, especially when working at heights
- Support general warehouse operations as needed
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent, stable warehouse experience
- Ability to work at heights up to 28 feet
- Experience using RF scanners or willingness to learn quickly
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Stable work history with no unexplained gaps exceeding 3 months
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating powered industrial equipment (PIT)
- Forklift or order picker experience
- Background in shipping, receiving, or inventory management
