Warehouse Associate

Hood Distribution, established in 1899, is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood as well as related specialty products. We currently have twenty-three locations, providing distribution into the eastern US as well as the Caribbean markets. Our primary customers turn our products into something special. We are looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Millersburg, OH.

Job Responsibilities:

• Proficiently pulling customer orders for next day delivery and customer pick-up.
• Effectively unloading inbound freight by either hand or forklift, verifying the dropped-off material, and entering items into the system.
• Restocking and verifying inventory in proper bin locations.
• Maintaining a healthy warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven warehouse experience (minimum 1 year)
• Prior experience and ability to operate a forklift (minimum 1 year)
• Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) device and computer tools
• Must be able to lift 50-100lbs
• Excellent Customer Service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Great interpersonal skills - a team player
• Forklift Certification
• Great oral and written communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Must be able to adapt to change

Salary Range: $19.00 - $20.00/per hour
