Warehouse Associate – 1st Shift
Job Type: Temp-to-HirePay Rate: $17.00/hourSchedule: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM–3:30 PMLocation: Milwaukee, WI
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team on a temp-to-hire basis. This position is ideal for candidates with previous warehouse or production experience who are looking for an opportunity to build a long-term career. Full-time conversion is based on attendance, work performance, and overall reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle, move, and organize warehouse products and materials.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and shipping preparation.
- Prepare products for shipment according to established procedures.
- Accurately complete required paperwork and warehouse documentation.
- Follow written work instructions accurately and consistently.
- Maintain an organized and safe work area.
- Perform general warehouse and production support duties as assigned.
- Safely lift and move products weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Work efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy standards.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or production experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Ability to follow written instructions accurately and consistently.
- Ability to complete paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Forklift experience is not required.
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Warehouse operations
- Production/manufacturing
- Packaging
- Shipping preparation
- Product labeling
- Material handling
Dress Code & PPE Requirements
Employees must follow all required safety and dress-code policies, including:
- Steel-toe safety footwear
- Safety glasses
- Hair and/or beard nets as required
- No jewelry
- No facial piercings
- Only wedding bands are permitted
