Job Description

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Warehouse Associates for a large, well-known client in Wood Dale, IL. As a Warehouse Associate for SURESTAFF, you will support the Warehouse Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Warehouse. In addition, Warehouse Associate’s responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All Temp-To-Hire employees are offered competitive compensation 20/HR. Available shifts include 1st: 8:30am - 5:00pm M-F Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate:

Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
Ensures safety and accuracy in their work.
Enforces inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
Provides quality service by following organizational standards.
Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat.
Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Completes reports by entering and sharing required information.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as directed and as needed.

Required Qualifications of the Warehouse Associate:

High attention to detail and safety/compliance.
Demonstrate good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and sound judgement.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Technical knowledge of shipping procedures, specifically UPS and FEDEX systems. SAP experience a plus.
Results-oriented, with careful attention to details and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to determine solutions for shipping-related problems.
Some knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary.
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years or more of warehouse/logistics. Experience with automated warehouse systems a plus.
Ability to lift/move up to 45lbs
