Position Summary 

The Warehouse Associate Equipment Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. This role ensures efficient and safe handling of auto parts and materials to support timely order fulfillment and inventory management. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. 

  • Load and unload products from trucks and trailers. 

  • Move materials throughout the warehouse, including to/from staging areas, racks, and storage bins. 

  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance issues. 

  • Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and company policies. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Required Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • 1–2 years of experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, etc.). 

  • Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one. 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods. 

  • Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (e.g., hot, cold, noisy). 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Prior experience in an automotive distribution or similar warehouse setting. 

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Work Environment and Physical Demands 

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. 

  • Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching. 

  • Exposure to warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

  • Candidates must meet employment eligibility requirements as established by U.S. federal law.
