Location: Reno, NV

Compensation: $16.50 per hour

La-Z-Boy is hiring one exceptional full-time Warehouse Associate for our store in Reno, NV. This is much more than your average warehouse associate job, you will be working alongside our Sales Associates, Designers and Store Manager as part of a high-performing team to support La-Z-Boy stores in Nevada.

A successful Warehouse Associate candidate will demonstrate the following traits and responsibilities:

• Dependable and on time every day. Our customers and team members are counting on you.

• Team player and Self-starter- You will have the training and mentoring you need. We then trust you to show up on time, ready to work, and get the job done right!

• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

• Preference may be given to people with prior distribution center/warehouse or furniture experience

• Receive freight and stock freight

• Pull and prepare furniture for delivery company

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

• Prepare and unbox the product to La-Z-Boy specifications. Review product against paperwork to check for order completeness and accuracy
• Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and accessories on and off trucks which includes operating power equipment on occasion. Occasionally move up to 350 pounds on a two wheel dolly
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. Other duties as required by management, to include product prep, reuse or recycling of revenue commodities, 5S responsibilities, attending company required training and committee participation
• Warehouse I associate will be responsible for scanning furniture when receiving, moving, or loading into the computer system. Receive returned furniture from the delivery trucks and place in the correct locations. Ensure that all product to be sent back to vendor is properly packaged and all corresponding paperwork is attached

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 0-2 years of experience
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• OSHA Certification

Base Compensation Range: $14.24 - $21.52 per hour
