Job Title: Warehouse & Distribution Process LeadLocation: Fort Worth, TXDuration: Contract - 4 Months
Role
- Part of the Tech Ops Warehouse & Distribution Capabilities team.
- Key role in evaluating, improving, and modernizing operational processes across warehouse and distribution functions.
- Focuses on analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting the implementation of process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Analyze warehouse and distribution workflows to identify operational gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Map current state and future state processes using standardized process mapping tools.
- Collect, interpret, and report operational data (e.g., throughput, pick accuracy, cycle time, labor utilization) to support decision making.
- Support the development, documentation, and rollout of new or updated standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in planning and executing warehouse process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and digital transformation efforts.
- Partner with operations, inventory control, transportation, and IT teams to understand pain points and translate them into process or system requirements.
- Facilitate root-cause analysis sessions to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence.
- Act as a subject matter resource for process standards, data insights, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Assist leadership by providing analysis and insights that help guide strategic operational decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline including Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Operations Research or other related fields.
- 3 years job related experience.
- Preferred Qualifications – Education & Prior Job Experience
- Experience in airline: operations, supply chain, or analytics.
- Master’s degree in related field.
Skills, Licenses, and Certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret operational data and identify trends.
- Proficiency with warehouse data tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related supply chain systems.
- Ability to create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and workflow diagrams.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
- Understanding of key warehouse metrics such as throughput, accuracy, cycle time, and labor utilization.
Language / Communication Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization.
- Physical ability necessary to safely and successfully perform the essential functions of the position, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship.
