Job Title: Warehouse Job Duration: 6 months contract Location: Kinston, NC 28504 Job Description: Responsibilities: Position Summary: We are searching for motivated Production Associate that will be part of our window assembly team. As a dedicated team member, our Production Associates are vital to the success of our business and operations. In your role with client's, you will ensure our products maintain the highest level of quality satisfaction our customers expect. At AMI, we as a community work together and believe excellent results begin with you! What To Expect: Have strong attention to detail to inspect windows and equipment for quality and any defects. Maintain a safe and clean work environment within assigned and surrounding workspace while ensuring to meet all safety standards and practices. Load machines, pack product, pull items, prepare labels, and support projects as required. Actively contribute and effectively communicate to the team. Other duties as assigned, including housekeeping and cross-training to become proficient across multiple positions and production lines. Production Associates in the windows assembly team may perform a variety of roles, including: Frame Cleaner Operate machinery that will clean excess vinyl material from the window frame s corner welds. Be able to determine the correct frame profile based on the product label and set the cleaner to that same profile. Position the fame properly into the machine, cleaning all four corners. May require the use of hand tools, such as snipes or chisel. Metaller Cut, bend and shape various metal parts of windows, including frames, sashes and cladding. Packout Final Assembler Put all the finishing touches on the window prior to being sent to shipping. Complete the assembly of the window by inserting the top and bottom sash into the frame, testing the locking mechanism to ensure it is operational. Verify that the window frame and warranty labels match. Balancer & Hardware Review product label to determine correct pieces (balancers, other hardware) to be added to window frames and sash as part of the assembly. Use various tools to cut, process, and assemble all window components. Screen Processor Precisely size screen frame material. Assemble frame corners and stretch screen across frame. Window Washer Inspect glass for scratches, pits or other imperfections that may have occurred during assembly. Remove any dust, dirt, fingerprints or other manufacturing debris from finished windows. Beader Secure glass panes within a window frame utilizing glazing beads. Sash Processing Operate punch equipment, cutting holes in vinyl frame and sash pieces for window hardware. Check for corresponding part numbers and periodically check parts for accurate measurement. Comments/Special Instruction s Must be able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance, based on position, 80lbs-100lb with assistance. Qualifications: What We re Looking For: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience. Preferred experience of 1-2 years in a manufacturing / production environment Proficiency in spoken and written English sufficient to Read and understand safety procedures, hazard warnings, and equipment operating instructions. Accurately complete production records, quality checklists, and incident reports in English. Communicate effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and team members to ensure safe and efficient operations. English proficiency is required for these tasks to comply with OSHA workplace safety standards and regulatory documentation requirements. Ability to adapt in fast-paced environment and motivated to become well-versed within multiple areas of operations. Strong attention detail and willingness to work independently or as part of a team and contribute to all areas of operations. Understand how to collaborate with a variety of different people and roles. Committed to cross-train, learn, and develop your skillset further. One who values diversity and takes pride in building a team together. Physical Requirements: The atmosphere is that of a manufacturing plant. The position will primarily work where moving machinery produces noise. Temperature can range from extreme cold to extreme heat. Physical demands to include movements, positioning, remaining stationary which include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, pushing/pulling, forward bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, postural balancing, manipulating, trunk rotation, handling, gripping, and talking (hearing). Must be able to lift up to 50lbs without assistance, based on position, 80lbs-100lb with assistance. Employees must wear Personal Protective Equipment that is issued for that location.
