Warehouse

The Warehouse employee stores, processes, and receives all product and materials located in the Jonti-Craft Warehouse. He or she maintains and organizes the warehouse and makes occasional runs to our other warehouses.

Essential Functions

1. Loads and unloads trucks.
2. Maintains thorough knowledge of all warehouse processes and equipment.
3. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (RFT only).
4. Completes cycle counts and accurate inventory counts.
5. Updates and helps document the inventory as it is put away.
6. Updates and puts in ECO's.
7. Does quality checks on all incoming freight.
8. Puts away and pulls as needed finished goods.
9. Change LP tanks on forklifts (RFT only).
10. Assists in day-to-day housekeeping duties of the warehouse.
11. Presence in the workplace is an essential function of this job.

Additional Functions

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word. Ability to operate a pocket PC.
• May be required to work with or train new employees in the use of a hand held pc.
• Must be able to understand and comprehend grid areas and locations.
• Shipping experience preferred.
• Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Fourth Shift or the ability to learn it.

Working conditions

Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat.

Physical requirements

Production positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
