This role is responsible for preparing job materials, organizing warehouse inventory, coordinating deliveries and pickups, and helping ensure our field crews have the tools, equipment, and materials needed to complete their work efficiently.

This position reports to the manager in charge and works closely with project managers, drivers, painters, and office staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage materials, tools, and equipment for upcoming jobs, including paint, wallcovering, brushes, rollers, ladders, fans, drop cloths, and other jobsite supplies.
  • Review job material needs with project managers and help identify missing or incomplete items before jobs begin.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure the correct materials are delivered to the correct jobsites at the correct time.
  • Organize the pickup of jobsite materials when projects are complete and confirm returned items are brought back to the warehouse.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are easy to locate and prepare for jobs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate when materials or supplies need to be reordered.
  • Place material or supply orders when requested.
  • Help develop and maintain a process for receiving inventory, checking materials and equipment out to jobs, and checking them back in after use.
  • Inspect returned materials, tools, and equipment for damage, missing items, or needed maintenance.
  • Help keep company vehicles clean, maintained, and ready for use by coordinating oil changes, service needs, cleaning, and general upkeep.
  • Monitor the warehouse for maintenance needs, safety concerns, leaks, repairs, or general facility issues.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, drivers, painters, and management regarding job preparation, inventory, deliveries, pickups, and warehouse needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, construction, painting, maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow processes, checklists, and instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, organize, and stage materials and equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
  • Basic computer, phone, or tablet skills preferred.
  • Valid driver's license is preferred, but driving is not a primary responsibility of this role.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, hands-on, and takes pride in keeping the warehouse clean, stocked, and ready. This person should be comfortable asking questions, catching missing details, and helping prevent jobsite delays before they happen.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn, improve over time, and grow with the company. The right candidate does not need to know everything on day one, but should bring a strong work ethic, a willingness to be trained, and a desire to take on more responsibility as they develop.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a typical schedule beginning at 5:30 am Monday through Friday to support jobsite preparation, material deliveries, and daily field operations.
